Cap*Rock Wine Wins 1999 Folk Wine Title
Cap*Rock Winery's Chardonnay has been selected as this year's "Folk Wine" at the 1999 Kerrville Folk Festival, the premier folk music event in the U.S. Each year, festival organizers taste white wines from Texas and select what they feel is the best Texas White wine that year and feature it during the festival. Rod Kennedy, producer of the Kerrville Music Festivals, has ordered 20 cases for this year's festival, which runs from May 27 through June 13 at Quiet Valley Ranch outside Kerrville on Highway 16.
This is the 28th Annual Kerrville Folk Festival, and is one of the few festivals in the U.S. serving varietal vintage-dated wines.
