The Cap*Rock Wine Club hosted its second event February 11 at the beautiful CapRock* Winery located South of Lubbock. The theme of the evening embodied the "Romance and History of Wines", with a wonderful lecture given by "the mother of Texas wines", Sarah Jane English. She fascinated the group with details regarding the history of wines and humored them with factual stories revealing the early accounts of how wine affected people. Wine Club members thoroughly enjoyed her presentation and equally the opportunity to meet such an outstanding lady with grand knowledge of the wine industry.
In addition, Kim McPherson introduced his exciting new wines including orange muscat, Toscana Rosso, Merlot and Toscana Rosa. Members benefited from the lectures and loved the soothing piano music while sampling six Cap*Rock wines, including our delicious Sparkling Wine.
Kelly Marble, owner of College Flowers, demonstrated how creative flower arranging can add that special touch to your romantic evening. The evening was a blast and members enjoyed the "romantic evening.
