The label for one of our newest wines was just approved by the TTB. Now we have to get TABC approval & then we can bottle.
We are excited about this wine. It is made from hand picked Tempranillo grapes from Bingham Vineyards. After picking, the grapes are hauled to the top of the tank in buckets & dumped in. The weight of the grapes crushes the ones underneath them & starts fermentation.
The resulting wine is slightly sweet & has cherry & banana notes. I have heard it described as tasting like a grown up smoothie.
I can't wait until this wine is bottled, but it is a process. The label has to be approved & that will take a week or two & then another week or two to print labels. Hopefully by mid-February this will be available.
I'm eager to hear what you think.
Here are a few more details about the label. The art is by award winning artist Mike Grell. The original is here in my office, but if you like the image, it will soon be available on a t-shirt. It should be available at the winery, or on the website. Details are coming soon.

Re: Sweet Tempranillo label approved
Phillip, I'm enjoying your blog, and I cannot wait to try this Tempranillo and the Chardonay. By the way, I have Cap*Rock to thank for introducing me to what is now one of my favorite whites, Voignier .
