Our first of three Wine Club parties, "Holiday Foods, Wines and Traditions" was held at Cap*Rock Winery on November 19th with an enthusiastic gathering of 1,200 Wine Club members. Kim McPherson, winemaker, explained the characteristics and vrtues of each Cap*Rock Wine while making suggestions as to which wines complement which foods. Cindy Mayer, Chef with At Your Service catering and The Grapevine Cafe, prepared a number of her favorite holiday recipies. Wine Club members also strolled through the holiday decorated winery visiting with their friends and shopping for the beautifull appointed Cap*Rock Wine holiday gift baskets. Hors d'oeuvres prepared by At Your Servicewere served, complemented by Cap*Rock Wines and holiday music by the Texas Tech Madrigal Singers, the South Plains Chamber Brass Quintet and Susan Grisanti on guitar.
