Be careful what you Google®, you may just end up with a winery
Catherine Bodenstedt purchased CapRock Winery in July of 2010 after a search on Google® for a CapRock investment firm lead to the advertised public auction of CapRock Winery. Auction and real estate company Williams and Williams accepted a bid by Bodenstedt in a sealed bid auction on July 12, 2010.
Originally named Teysha Cellar in 1988, the name was then changed to CapRock Winery after being purchased by a Houston based company in 1992 called Saragossa Wine Group, LLC.
The award-winning CapRock Winery is Located on the Texas High Plains, the state’s premier grape growing area. It is owned by Catherine Bodenstedt and is one of the largest wineries in Texas to be owned by a woman, with one of the the most beautiful and modern facilities in the area. CapRock Winery and tasting room are open for visits Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and 12:30-5:30 on Sundays. Tours are conducted between 12:00 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 12:30 p.m. on Sundays to 4:00 p.m. daily. It is located at 408 East Woodrow Road, Lubbock, Texas 79423.
