    Over 1,200 people gathered at the Dallas Country Club on September 10, 1998 to toast the introduction of Cap*Rock Wines to the metroplex. The evening featured a tasting of the national and international award winning Cap*Rock Wines. Lee Ann Fowler, Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Sales, began the evening by introducing the Dallas-Ft. Worth Advisory Board and special guest including Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Ron Chapman, of KVIL and Louis Glazer and Tony Bandiera, representing Siegel's. could play football this year as well as Cap*Rock makes wine. Alan White, Chairman and CEO of Plains Capital Corporation, parent company of Cap*Rock Winery, thanked his friends for their loyalty and support. Alan also announced the opening of Cap*Rock Winery and Tasting Room in Grapevine and invited his guests to explore Cap*Rock Wines further by joining the Cap*Rock Wine Club. During the evening, guests were presented a bottle of Cap*Rock Wine, etched with their name. Guests also previewed Cap*Rock's seven new holiday gift baskets. Hors d'ouvres were served and entertainment was provided by the Swinging Sounds of Hunter Sullivan.
