Melissa Rowe is a Lubbock native. She moved to Dallas where she began to develop her interest in food preparation and restaurant service. She further developed her skills when she worked in Chicago, New York, and Nantucket. In New York she worked with chefs Steve DiMarco and Matthew Schmalley. Her accomplishments include catering many private parties for the executives of HBO and MTV in New York. She worked under chef Chris Freeman in Nantucket learning new methods of food preparation and presentation. She also received culinary experience while living in Italy.
After moving back to Lubbock in 2007, she served a year as personal chef for a local family. She began catering their business functions and from word-of-mouth recommendations, this developed into a full-time catering business for her. For the past three years she has catered public and private parties and such functions as Stars Under the Stars and has worked closely with Cap*Rock Winery where she has provided the food for wine dinners, wine classes and various other events.
Melissa is proud to be partnering with Cap*Rock Winery and considers it the most beautiful place in Lubbock to have a function. She has received extensive training in wine knowledge and is excited about being associated with the events at Cap*Rock Winery. Melissa’s goal in partnering with Cap*Rock Winery is to make it easy and cost effective for you to book and host your event at the winery.
