Clinton "Doc" McPherson and his son Kim McPherson were inducted into the Texas Department of Agriculture's "Who's Who in Food and Wine in Texas" at the Texas Hill Country Wine and Food Festival on April 10.
Doc was honored for pioneering the modern Texas Wine Industry.
Kim was honored for his twenty years as a Texas winemaker and the notoriety he's given to the Texas Wine Industry by making Texas wines that win awards across the U.S. and Europe. Kim's wines at Cap*Rock alone have won over 250 medals in California, New York and Switzerland and numerous Best Buy ratings from national wine publications.
The Who's Who awards are co-sponsored annually by Texas Monthly magazine and the Texas Department of Agriculture. Doc and Kim were introduced by Pat Sharp of Texas Monthly and the awards were presented to them by Ms. Sharp and the Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Susan Coombs.
This year marks the first time that a father and son have been inducted into the Who's Who in Food and Wine in Texas.
